Software Engineer – Automated Test Development for Networking

About the role

NVIDIA's Networking System Product Engineering group is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop automated tests for high‑performance networking switches and adapters. You will work closely with hardware, ASIC and software teams to ensure reliable, high‑coverage testing that supports mass production and high availability of NVIDIA products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test suites for networking switches and adapters.
• Collaborate with HW, ASIC and SW engineering teams to achieve reliable, high‑coverage testing.
• Participate in test definition from early development through final system validation.
• Use test frameworks to debug, resolve production issues and improve test efficiency.
• Drive multiple projects to completion under tight schedules.
• Maintain and fix existing test code, supporting production line deployments, patches and maintenance.
• Perform verification and validation of both hardware and software components.
• Optimize and streamline testing procedures for better performance.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of software development and design experience.
• 4+ years of proven Python (or similar) programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control and Linux‑based development.
• Experience integrating software and hardware products.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to collaborate with global, cross‑functional teams.
