Software Design Engineer – SONiC Group

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a Software Design Engineer to join the SONiC Group, focusing on the Ethernet Switch SONiC Network OS. You will help deliver high‑performance networking software that powers AI workloads across NVIDIA’s global data‑center clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship new features for the SONiC release train on NVIDIA Switch hardware.
• Contribute code and bug fixes to the worldwide SONiC open‑source community.
• Operate in a continuous‑deployment environment with rapid development and release cycles.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers renowned in the SONiC ecosystem.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python development on Linux.
• Strong self‑learning ability, excellent communication, and a focus on process improvement.
