SEO & GEO Leader

About the role

Bakara is creating a new SEO & GEO practice to help Israel’s biggest brands transition from traditional search to AI‑driven visibility. As the SEO & GEO Lead you will act as the strategic authority for clients, guiding them through technical audits, AI‑ready optimization, and business‑focused growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new service opportunities within existing accounts, proposing SEO & GEO audits, strategic projects, and retainer models.
• Design and execute comprehensive SEO and GEO strategies, including migration to generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
• Conduct deep‑technical site audits and content reviews, delivering actionable recommendations to improve site health, ranking signals, and AI readiness.
• Oversee external agency SEO plans, ensuring alignment with global best practices and client objectives.
• Monitor performance using GA4, Google Search Console, and leading SEO platforms, analysing organic traffic alongside AI visibility metrics to drive ROI.
• Serve as the primary knowledge source for clients, delivering presentations that explain the shift from traditional search to answer engines and shaping their roadmap.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in technical, on‑page and off‑page SEO, preferably managing large‑scale accounts.
• Strong business acumen with a proven track record of identifying growth opportunities and expanding service offerings.
• Deep understanding of Large Language Models, generative search engines and optimization tactics for AI visibility (entity optimization, structured data, brand authority).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew.

Required skills

• Technical SEO, on‑page and off‑page optimization.
• Experience with SEO tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
• Proficiency in Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
• Knowledge of entity optimization, structured data implementation, and brand authority strategies.
• Ability to analyse complex data and translate insights into business recommendations.
