Senior System Software Architect – AI Networking

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated Senior System Software Architect to shape the future of high‑performance AI and ML computing. You will work on next‑generation Spectrum‑X, InfiniBand and NVLink systems that power the world’s most advanced compute clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Define the architecture for upcoming generations of Spectrum‑X, InfiniBand and NVLink software.
• Research and evaluate multiple solution concepts by creating and running proof‑of‑concepts, assessing both software and hardware impact.
• Communicate solution architectures to cross‑functional teams, spanning algorithms, high‑level software, firmware, and hardware.
• Collaborate with architecture groups, VLSI logic designers, system software, firmware, and research teams to ensure successful project execution.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in VLSI, firmware or software design/architectural roles.
• Strong understanding of networking layers and software‑hardware co‑design.
• Excellent problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and managerial skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving environment handling multiple concurrent projects.

Required skills

• Experience with network protocols such as InfiniBand, IP, TCP and RoCE.
• Knowledge of network topologies and AI/ML workloads (LLM or DL).
• Hands‑on expertise in SW‑HW co‑design and architectural development.
• Background in VLSI, firmware and software design.
