Senior System Administrator

About the role

abra professional services is looking for an experienced Senior System & Infrastructure Engineer to own the design, deployment and ongoing management of enterprise‑grade IT environments. You will work closely with R&D and DevOps teams, leveraging AI tools to automate and optimise operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS) and Windows Server systems.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and public cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Architect, configure and optimise NetApp storage solutions (ONTAP, FAS, AFF) including volumes, snapshots and performance tuning.
• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra ID), GPOs, backups, DRP and data replication.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python and Ansible.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines.
• Explore and embed generative AI and AIOps technologies into daily operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years as a Lead System/Infrastructure Engineer in medium‑to‑large enterprises.
• At least 3 years managing NetApp ONTAP environments.
• 3 + years of hands‑on Linux administration.
• Proven experience with VMware/KVM, AWS/Azure and scripting.
• Strong background in Active Directory and Azure AD management.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with R&D/DevOps teams.
