Senior Software Engineer – Chip Design

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join its Chip Design CAD team. You will work at the intersection of electrical and software engineering, creating tools that enable the design of next‑generation Smart Adapters, Switches and GPUs for advanced data‑center workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative software solutions for chip design and verification.
• Define methodologies that impact the daily work of design and verification engineers.
• Improve existing in‑house tools used to design next‑generation SoCs and Switches.
• Collaborate with designers, verification specialists and architects to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Computer Science degree with excellent grades.
• 5+ years of practical software engineering experience.
• Motivated, responsive and keen on process improvement.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Solid programming background with familiarity of AI‑powered development tools and workflows.

Required skills

• Programming (general software development).
• AI‑powered development tools and coding assistants.
• Linux environment.
• CAD tools for chip design.
• Experience with AI agents or AI‑based verification workflows.
