Senior SoC Architect - MCU

About the role

NXP Israel is seeking a Senior SoC Architect to lead the definition and development of complex System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures for its MCU business at the Yokneam site.

Key responsibilities

• Define next‑generation SoC architecture in close collaboration with Marketing, System Architecture, RTL, and DV teams.
• Own the SoC Architecture specification and ensure alignment across SW, Security, Analog, and Digital architects.
• Coordinate with all SoC development teams to keep implementation consistent with the architecture spec.
• Provide necessary information to the documentation team to support accurate product documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in SoC architecture for complex designs.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including RTL, DV, software, and marketing.
• Strong communication skills, independent yet collaborative.

Required skills

• Expertise in RTL and DV methodologies.
• Knowledge of video, audio, and bus protocols such as AHB and AXI.
• Familiarity with ultra‑low‑power design techniques.
• Experience with Python programming (advantageous).
• Deep understanding of ARM architecture, especially Cortex‑M platforms.
• Solid grasp of security mechanisms in SoC designs.
