Senior ML Data Engineer

About the role

The AI Engineering group at Mobileye is looking for a Senior ML Data Engineer to shape the intelligence layer that decides which data is worth training on. You will work in a small, independent team that builds modern infrastructure for advanced perception algorithms and a unified AV dataset.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve the curation pipeline that processes vision‑model embeddings, scene detection, VLM‑based analysis, scoring, deduplication and sampling.
• Run and optimise GPU inference at scale for embedding extraction and VLM inference across thousands of driving sessions using workflow orchestration.
• Develop scoring and sampling strategies to ensure rare scenarios (night driving, adverse weather, hazardous situations) are well‑represented.
• Collaborate with algorithm teams to translate data gaps into curation criteria.
• Build validation and diagnostics to measure dataset quality for training, not just pipeline health.
• Contribute to the core dataset SDK, converters and 3D‑geometry tooling (camera projection, calibration, coordinate transforms).

Required profile

• 4+ years of data engineering or backend/software engineering experience with production‑grade pipelines.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with the PyData ecosystem.
• Ability to understand research papers, ML model outputs and discuss them with algorithm engineers.
• Comfort working with vision‑model outputs such as embeddings, detection results and VLM responses.
• Proven ability to work across algorithm, infrastructure and data teams.
