Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Shlomi, Israel. This is an onsite position requiring presence for all scheduled workdays, with no relocation assistance. The role leads engineering activities such as engineering projects, NPI projects and H&S&E activities, coordinating several projects at once and supporting manufacturing, quality control and regulatory activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-volume cross-functional engineering projects, planning and tracking schedules in DevOps and Microsoft Project
• Analyze, forecast and report program budgets, monitor resources and support business cases and ROI tracking
• Transfer knowledge from R&D to the production floor for new products, processes and equipment
• Support Lean Manufacturing, productivity and cost-reduction initiatives
• Support manufacturing, quality control and regulatory activities, including machine-related product and malfunction analysis and repair
• Maintain engineering support for production processes: maintenance, repairs, spare parts and enhancements
• Design and build jigs and fixtures, automate processes and enhance tooling
• Manage product engineering industrialization and scale-up projects, including characterization, acceptance tests, installations and validations
• Manage the tech office: documents, revisions, specifications, drawings and SOPs
• Qualify and enhance equipment and processes for West Pharma IL production lines and develop product configurations

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5-8 years of experience managing large-scale cross-organizational projects in a matrix structure, meeting scope, timeline and budget
• Process engineering experience based on manufacturing automation (assembly and packaging machines)
• Process validation experience (IQ, OQ, PQ) and writing technical documents in English (validation protocols, reports, SOPs)
• Hands-on experience repairing automated machinery
• Fluent Hebrew and English (reading, writing and speaking)
