Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Play Perfect, a fast‑growing mobile gaming company, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own critical architectural decisions, improve reliability and velocity, and write production code when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve a multi‑cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) that scales with games and data.
• Lead architecture for resilience, scale, cost efficiency; drive capacity planning and FinOps.
• Develop and own complex CI/CD pipelines, implement blue‑green and canary rollouts, and manage ephemeral environments.
• Standardize GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and infrastructure as code using Terraform across teams.
• Operate Kubernetes at production scale, automating deployments, migrations and failovers.
• Build and maintain observability (metrics, logs, tracing) and SRE practices, including incident response and post‑mortems.
• Improve network architecture and integrate advanced tooling.
• Partner with backend/data teams on Kafka and Airflow workloads and complex migrations.
• Work with leading AI tools to improve speed and quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of DevOps/Platform experience, including ownership of production systems at scale.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS and multi‑cloud environments.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, Terraform and GitOps practices.
• Proven design and operation of CI/CD pipelines with canary/blue‑green strategies.
• Ability to write production‑quality code (Python.NET, Go or similar) is a plus.
• Practical knowledge of observability, reliability engineering, security baselines and cloud cost optimisation.
• Builder’s mindset with ownership, clear communication and automation bias.
