Senior Data Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer in Aidoc’s Data‑Nexus team, you will drive the company’s data vision using a lake‑house architecture. You will own the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through deployment and continuous improvement, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, reliable, and secure data infrastructure and ETL pipelines for diverse clinical data.
• Write production‑grade SQL and Spark jobs, create evolving schemas, and automate releases with CI/CD and IaC.
• Optimize throughput, latency, and cloud cost to meet large‑scale research timelines.
• Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product managers, regulatory teams, and other engineers to deliver new tools and features.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years building data or backend systems, strong focus on cloud data infrastructure and scalable systems.
• Proven experience with SQL schema design and pragmatic data modelling.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work across teams.
