Senior Board Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Board Design Engineer to lead the design and development of complex mixed‑signal and high‑speed digital PCBs for advanced medical systems. You will join Philips’ multidisciplinary CT organization in Haifa, collaborating with hardware, firmware and system teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑layer high‑speed PCBs, define layout constraints and perform component selection and schematic capture.
• Develop power management circuits, including DC‑DC converters and power distribution networks.
• Support analog circuit design, EMC/EMI testing, and high‑speed interfaces such as DDR4/DDR5, PCIe and Ethernet.
• Lead board bring‑up, validation, lab debugging and troubleshoot system‑level HW/FW issues.
• Manage Install Base activities, field investigations, NPI and lifecycle management including EOL handling.
• Work with PCBA vendors on production issues, yield improvement and component alternatives.
• Maintain PLM data, create and release ECOs using Windchill.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of board design experience on multidisciplinary products, preferably in medical devices.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Siemens EDM / Xpedition PCB design tools.
• Deep knowledge of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity.
• Experience with DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, Ethernet, and FPGA‑based systems.
• Strong lab debugging using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
• Familiarity with PLM tools, especially Windchill.
