Senior Back End Software Engineer (Fixed Term, 6 Months)

About the role

Autodesk is looking for an experienced Senior Back End Software Engineer to join its Agile development team in Tel Aviv. This is a fixed-term position of 6 months, with the possibility of extension, offered on a contract basis through an external employment partner. You will join the team building foundational backend services for the next generation of the Autodesk Construction Cloud Platform, used across mobile apps, web apps and cloud services. The work is done in a hybrid environment with 2 office days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a member of a self-organized Agile team that builds, owns and operates its services
• Design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Node.js
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and development through deployment and production
• Build clean, performant, maintainable and highly scalable backend solutions
• Work with cloud-based architectures and services in AWS
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes, including hands-on work with Jenkins
• Use modern AI tools and AI-assisted development technologies
• Work with Product Management and other stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions
• Take part in technical discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews and engineering best practices

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, focused on backend development
• Proven experience designing and developing scalable, reliable distributed systems
• Strong experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Good understanding of and practical experience with AI tools and AI-assisted workflows
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication in English
