Senior Application Security Engineer

About the role

Peer Security is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to embed security throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. You will partner with development, DevOps, platform, cloud, and security teams to design, implement, and lead security controls in modern CI/CD and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive Application Security and SSDLC initiatives across customer development environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud, and Security teams to embed security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
• Design, implement, and improve automated security testing, policy enforcement, secrets management, and dependency security.
• Assess and remediate security risks in AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud environments using Wiz.
• Conduct secure code reviews, threat modeling, and architecture reviews for applications, APIs, and cloud‑native services.
• Lead security design discussions and provide practical remediation guidance to engineering teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in application security and secure software development.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑native architectures, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Proven ability to work independently, assess complex environments, and prioritize remediation efforts.
• Strong communication skills to influence cross‑functional teams.
