Senior Accountant – Israel

About the role

Fireblocks is seeking a Senior Accountant based in Israel to own the full spectrum of accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Reporting to the Accounting Director, you will drive month‑end close, statutory reporting, and audit processes while partnering with the global finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end accounting and financial reporting under US GAAP and Fireblocks group policies, managing monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles.
• Own the full Accounts Payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approvals, payments, and AP‑to‑GL reconciliation.
• Oversee daily banking operations, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, cash‑position monitoring, and support treasury activities.
• Manage intercompany balances, monthly reconciliations, settlements and support consolidation eliminations.
• Prepare Israeli statutory financial statements, bridge US GAAP to local standards, and coordinate the external audit.
• Support Israeli direct tax compliance: corporate tax returns, tax reconciliations, advance payments and tax authority inquiries.
• Handle Israeli indirect tax and withholding compliance, including VAT reporting and withholding certificates.
• Review monthly payroll, statutory contributions, pension, severance provisions and reconcile payroll journals to the GL.
• Maintain and improve finance systems (NetSuite, Coupa, banking platforms) ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.

• Proven ability to manage audits, tax compliance and complex intercompany transactions.
