R&D Lab Technician – Augmented Reality Glasses

About the role

We are looking for an experienced R&D Lab Technician / Integrator to support the development of Augmented Reality glasses. The role blends electronic and mechanical assembly, functional testing, troubleshooting, and product certification in a fast‑moving hardware environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components, modules, and systems according to engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions.
• Perform soldering, wiring, mechanical integration, alignment, and adhesive bonding.
• Operate laboratory equipment for functional testing, measurement, and calibration.
• Document test results, maintain detailed records, and report findings to engineering teams.
• Identify and troubleshoot defects using diagnostic tools and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead product certification and compliance testing (EMC, FCC, safety) at certified laboratories.
• Design, build, and maintain jigs and fixtures for repeatable assembly and testing.
• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments, ensuring measurement accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers to provide feedback on design improvements and standardize testing procedures.
• Suggest and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an R&D lab technician or integrator.
• Associate degree or equivalent certification in Electrical, Optical or Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
• Strong background in both electronics and mechanics, with proven assembly and integration skills.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment for testing, measurement, and calibration.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
