Quality Department Manager

About the role

The company, a leading defense supplier of advanced optical and sighting systems, seeks an experienced Quality Department Manager. This senior‑level position will lead the quality organization, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal processes while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Department, supervising a team of approximately eight quality professionals.
• Plan, execute, and report on internal and external quality audits.
• Develop, update, and maintain quality procedures, documentation, and CAPA processes.
• Lead root‑cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Deliver quality training and ensure consistent implementation of procedures across the organization.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors on quality matters.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Production Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements in line with company policies.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience managing quality systems, preferably in defense or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; familiarity with additional quality standards is a plus.
• Experience in quality assurance/control within electronics, mechanical engineering, or optics.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Practical Engineer or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Optics, or related field (advantage).
• Quality Engineering or Quality Management certification (advantage).
• Fluent English (reading and writing).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
