Purchasing Manager

About the role

DRS RADA, a global pioneer in radar systems for active military protection and critical infrastructure, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join the team. The role focuses on tactical procurement, material flow coordination and supplier management within a defense manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the tactical procurement team, handling order approvals, on‑time delivery measurement and returns.
• Oversee material arrivals, shortages and align deliveries with production work plans.
• Manage order confirmations, track expected arrivals and coordinate with subcontractors in the mechanics field.
• Control obsolete (OBS) and end‑of‑life (EOL) material activities to ensure smooth transitions.
• Implement MRP recommendations for material postponement or advancement and develop advanced work methods.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering or comparable experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with suppliers and subcontractors in a manufacturing setting.
• At least 5 years in a similar purchasing role, preferably within defense companies.
• High‑level English proficiency and strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proactive, team‑oriented “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

• Priority procurement software (advantageous).
• MRP systems for material planning.
