Proposal Manager – Bid & Quote Operations

About the role

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the end‑to‑end bid process for public and private sector opportunities. The role combines commercial insight, financial analysis and cross‑functional coordination to deliver winning proposals that align with the company’s safety‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full proposal lifecycle, responding to RFPs, RFIs and customer quotes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal and Engineering to gather inputs and ensure technical and commercial accuracy.
• Analyse opportunity viability, assess deal risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Build comprehensive deal P&L models and pricing structures that balance competitiveness with profitability.
• Develop detailed proposal schedules, drafts and ensure strict deadline compliance.
• Present proposal strategies, commercial details and risk assessments to senior leadership for approval.
• Review, edit and finalize proposal documents to meet quality, compliance and company standards.
• Conduct post‑submission debriefs, capture lessons learned and continuously improve proposal processes.
• Maintain a centralized repository of proposals and related data using internal collaboration tools.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Proposal Manager, Bid Manager or in a comparable role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate financial implications of bids.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and influence senior stakeholders.
