Mid-Level Backend Engineer

About the role

Fullpath by Cox Automotive is seeking a mid‑level Backend Engineer to join its AI‑focused product team in Israel. The role involves building and maintaining high‑performance backend services that power the company’s Customer Data Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, high‑quality, high‑performance, maintainable code.
• Design, implement, and maintain APIs and integrations with third‑party services.
• Optimize application performance through profiling, monitoring, and refactoring.
• Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure robustness and reliability.
• Support deployment and testing of new products and features.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards.

Required profile

• University degree (B.Sc) in Computer Science or related field, preferably with top grades.
• 4‑5 years of backend software development experience.
• Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Web development and backend engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools and emerging technologies.
• Strong SQL skills; experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Design and implementation of microservices architecture.
• API design and integration.
• Automated testing frameworks, code profiling, and performance monitoring.
