Mechanical Design Engineer – Electro-Mechanical Actuators

About the role

Eshed Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading defense organization in the Central District. You will be responsible for the mechanical design of complex mechanisms and electro‑mechanical actuators, ensuring they meet strict system‑level requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead detailed mechanical design of mechanisms and electro‑mechanical actuators to satisfy operational and performance criteria.
• Define and characterize sub‑assemblies, perform structural strength calculations, author requirement specifications, and prepare test documentation.
• Lead and participate in formal engineering design reviews (PDR/CDR).
• Collaborate continuously with cross‑functional engineering disciplines and on‑site production teams.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience in mechanical design and manufacturing processes (mandatory).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics (mandatory).

Required skills

• Hands‑on proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software within a Teamcenter environment.
• Experience performing static and dynamic structural analyses using Ansys or Nastran.
• Familiarity with drivetrain and gear/mechanism analysis tools such as KISSoft.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
