M&A Analyst (French Speaker)

About the role

Basel Advisory is expanding its advisory business and seeks a French‑speaking M&A Analyst to drive commercial growth. This hybrid position blends prospecting, deal development and analytical work, allowing you to own the pipeline from initial contact through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and source new targets through phone outreach and direct contact with business owners and market players.
• Engage decision‑makers to uncover challenges, identify opportunities and deepen vertical knowledge.
• Pitch Basel’s value proposition, handle objections and convert conversations into signed mandates.
• Maintain rigorous pipeline tracking, updating records, status and next steps.
• Conduct financial and strategic analysis of target companies, including valuation work.
• Prepare presentation materials, transaction documentation and support due‑diligence and M&A processes.

Required profile

• Strong sales drive with confidence on the phone and ability to build trust with decision‑makers.
• Hunter mindset – proactively create and close opportunities.
• Curiosity about businesses and markets, coupled with disciplined deal tracking.
• Solid finance fundamentals and sharp analytical abilities; technical M&A skills will be developed on the job.
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate research and drafting.
• High energy, autonomy and a builder’s attitude in an entrepreneurial environment.
