Low-Level Rust Developer

About the role

MWDN is seeking a senior Low-Level Rust Developer to join an Israel‑based client building next‑generation Big Data infrastructure. You will work on performance‑critical components of a distributed system, collaborating with a team of top engineers to solve complex technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own end‑to‑end low‑level modules in Rust.
• Optimize memory layout, I/O paths, and concurrency for maximum throughput.
• Profile and tune code to meet strict performance and latency targets.
• Collaborate with hardware and OS teams to bridge software‑hardware boundaries.
• Maintain high code quality, documentation, and testing standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of systems programming experience.
• Proven track record delivering performance‑critical software in Rust.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a high‑standards environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly understand and improve unfamiliar codebases.
