Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Loss Prevention Officer to safeguard our property and ensure the safety of guests and employees. The role involves proactive patrolling, monitoring security systems, and responding swiftly to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact emergency services.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and handle interruptions or complaints.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.
• Support guests, including individuals with disabilities, and uphold company service standards.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training and licensing requirements where applicable.

Required skills

• CCTV monitoring and alarm system operation.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Incident reporting and documentation.
• Basic computer usage for reporting and data entry.
