Lead / Senior Offensive Security Engineer – AI Automation

About the role

Salesforce is building an AI‑driven Offensive Security Automation team to protect its AI CRM platform. We are looking for a Lead or Senior Offensive Security Engineer who will combine deep security expertise with AI tooling to scale vulnerability research and automated testing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security assessments and vulnerability research across web applications, APIs, and cloud/hybrid infrastructure using internal AI tools and frontier models.
• Develop exploitation techniques, vulnerability chaining, business‑logic abuse, privilege escalation, and lateral movement scenarios beyond standard automated tooling.
• Run end‑to‑end engagements: scoping, execution, reporting, and remediation guidance.
• Identify systemic architectural weaknesses and drive secure‑by‑default fixes.
• Design and implement AI‑driven automation and autonomous harnesses that continuously test at scale.
• Create agent‑based workflows that reason over large data sets, rank hypotheses, and adapt testing based on results.
• Establish human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints to ensure safety and precision of automated testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, security architecture, and detection & response teams to close root causes and validate controls.

Required profile

• Hands‑on offensive security professional with experience conducting large‑scale security assessments.
• Proven ability to translate security tradecraft into reusable, explainable automation.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with engineering, architecture, and response teams.
• Excellent technical writing ability to produce clear exploitation paths and prioritized remediation reports.
