Junior Software Engineer

About the role

WDS Technologies is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing team in Shoham. You will contribute to the development of the software that powers autonomous warehouse drones, working closely with senior engineers, product managers, and hardware specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend components and APIs for the drone platform.
• Fix bugs, write clean, maintainable code, and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Produce documentation and perform basic DevOps tasks.
• Continuously improve development tools, processes, and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science (data structures, algorithms, software design).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on‑site in Shoham and communicate clearly in English.
• Interest in robotics, drones, warehouse automation, or logistics is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, adapt in a startup environment, and take ownership of tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern OOP language (Python, Java, or C#).
• Experience with version control (Git), testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, web frameworks, and databases (SQL).
