Junior Mechanical & Product Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Mechanical & Product Design Engineer to join our team in Kfar Saba. You will develop expertise in mechanical and product design while working at the intersection of mechanics, electronics, hardware, and software for network connectivity products.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑density copper panels, fiber trays, and smart enclosures using SolidWorks (or Autodesk Inventor).
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions for production partners.
• Support material selection and evaluate sheet‑metal fabrication and plastic injection‑molding processes.
• Participate in prototyping, design improvements, and troubleshooting of mechanical components.
• Collaborate with hardware, electronics, and software teams to integrate LEDs, sensors, and controller cards.
• Learn global fiber‑optic (LC, MPO/MTP) and copper cabling standards and perform QA testing of prototypes.
• Identify design or manufacturing issues and work with cross‑functional teams to implement solutions.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of relevant experience or strong academic projects/internships.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Hands‑on attitude, curiosity about electronics, fiber optics, and software.
• Detail‑oriented problem‑solver with good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (or Autodesk Inventor) – 3D CAD modeling.
• Sheet‑metal fabrication knowledge.
• Plastic injection‑molding knowledge.
• Understanding of fiber‑optic standards (LC, MPO/MTP) and copper cabling standards.
• Prototyping and QA testing of mechanical components.
