Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at a hotel property in Herzliya. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the property’s standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces daily, communicate room status to the Front Desk, and assign cleaning tasks.
• Manage inventory of supplies, verify adequate stock, and ensure employees have proper equipment and uniforms.
• Develop and maintain an effective inspection program for all areas.
• Monitor and achieve departmental budget goals, aligning operations with overall financial objectives.
• Train new room attendants, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct performance feedback.
• Schedule staff according to business demand, track attendance, and enforce fair application of property policies.
• Participate in departmental meetings and communicate clear goals to the team.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required for degree holders).
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team, handle budgeting, and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with front‑desk and other departments.
