Head of Security

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Security to lead all security aspects at Chamelio, an AI‑powered legal intelligence platform. You will be the first dedicated security professional, responsible for embedding security into our product, protecting sensitive customer documents, and representing the company in high‑stakes discussions with client CISOs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect and integrate security controls directly into the product codebase.
• Own the internal security posture, including corporate IT, access management, endpoint protection and employee security practices.
• Lead customer‑facing security engagements such as pre‑sales reviews, CISO discussions, security questionnaires and enterprise assessments.
• Develop and manage the compliance program end‑to‑end, handling audits, evidence collection and vendor risk.
• Set security standards and best practices for R&D and product teams as the internal authority.
• Build security review processes for AI features, including threat modeling of LLMs and data boundaries.
• Partner with DevOps and engineering on cloud security, secure architecture and incident readiness.
• Scale the security function by establishing processes and growing headcount as the company expands.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on security experience with deep product or application security expertise.
• Proven experience in customer‑facing security roles, engaging with CISOs and enterprise security teams.
• Strong command of cloud security across AWS, GCP or Azure and secure architecture design.
• Hands‑on experience building or running a compliance program (SOC 2, ISO 27001 or equivalent).
• Ability to create processes and structures from scratch in a fast‑paced environment.
