Frontend Engineer

About the role

ERGO NEXT is looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer to join its Thrive Frontend team. You will help build and enhance the customer portal and back‑office web applications that power the company’s technology‑led small‑business insurance platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality frontend features for the customer portal and internal tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and engineers to translate business goals into functional code.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools and agentic programming to create new productivity‑boosting utilities.
• Own features from concept through implementation, ensuring robust testing and smooth deployment.
• Contribute to improving code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and overall system health.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in high‑scale production web development.
• Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and software quality.
• Team‑player attitude with a passion for learning in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Angular or a comparable modern JavaScript framework.
• Experience using AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS3, and Git.
• Familiarity with API integration, automation testing, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Understanding of infrastructure‑as‑code concepts, preferably Terraform on AWS.
• Basic experience with Node.js, Express.js or NestJS is a plus.
