Financial Controller - FinOps & Financial Innovation

About the role

Energix Renewables is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead process optimisation, automation and AI integration within its finance department. The role blends day‑to‑day accounting duties with a strong focus on technology‑driven improvements, allowing the holder to influence both financial outcomes and the way financial processes are executed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly and quarterly closing processes and prepare financial statements.
• Work with Oracle and other financial systems to produce regular financial reports.
• Map manual accounting, collections, payments and reporting processes to identify automation opportunities.
• Design and implement efficient workflows, leveraging existing tools and introducing new AI‑based solutions.
• Define KPIs for financial processes, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with external technology vendors as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance operations role.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong data‑analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with Oracle (significant advantage).
• Experience implementing automation or AI tools within a financial environment (advantage).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
