Electronics & Digital Process Lead

About the role

SodaStream, part of PepsiCo, is seeking an experienced IoT & Digital Lead to drive the electronics and connected‑product strategy for its global R&D team. The role will shape innovative consumer devices, expand in‑house electronics capabilities and coordinate cross‑functional efforts from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead IoT and digital product development across the SWM electronics portfolio, making strategic decisions and ensuring execution.
• Oversee end‑to‑end PCBA design, embedded firmware development and hardware‑software integration.
• Build and scale the internal electronics development capability, transitioning from outsourced models where needed.
• Partner with EMS contractors and external vendors to support development, validation and production readiness.
• Guide component sourcing, technical decision‑making and certification readiness (CE, FCC, EMC, RoHS).
• Direct the creation of connected products, including BLE, Wi‑Fi, cloud connectivity and mobile‑app integration.
• Collaborate with global teams such as Design, Digital, Marketing, Machine Development and DTV to ensure seamless product integration and value delivery.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (mandatory).
• 10+ years of experience in electronics R&D, embedded systems or hardware‑software integration, preferably in consumer products.
• Proven track record of establishing in‑house electronics capabilities or shifting development from external to internal teams.
• Experience managing EMS partners and navigating regulatory certification processes.
• Fluent English communication skills.
