Director of Application & Cloud Security

About the role

Fireblocks is seeking a seasoned security leader to head its Application and Cloud Security initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Security Engineering, you will shape the security strategy for the company’s platform, products, and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the application security roadmap across multi‑cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) environments.
• Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and secure design reviews for new and existing services.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of security controls, including CSPM, IaC scanning, SAST, and secrets management.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to embed security throughout the development and operations pipelines.
• Manage and mentor a team of security experts, fostering a culture of proactive security.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in application and cloud security at an enterprise or fintech scale.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with AWS, Azure, and GCP, especially from an offensive security perspective.
• Track record of conducting threat modeling, penetration testing, red‑team exercises, and fuzz testing.
• Strong understanding of encryption, IAM, and network security best practices.
