Data Analyst – Finance

About the role

Cognyte is seeking a sharp, analytical Data Analyst with a strong finance background to investigate complex financial datasets. You will work in a hybrid schedule, collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to turn massive transactional data into actionable intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large financial datasets using SQL to uncover trends, anomalies, and insights.
• Investigate data‑quality issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and resolve reconciliation breaks.
• Build, validate, and maintain matching, reconciliation, and data‑validation processes.
• Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to automate recurring analyses and solve data‑driven challenges.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst working with financial, banking, fintech, or payments data.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as transactions, accounts, reconciliation, and key metrics.
• Proven ability to communicate findings clearly and work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL proficiency for querying large, complex datasets.
• Python programming, specifically Pandas for data manipulation.
• Experience with BI/data‑visualisation tools (e.g., Superset, Tableau, Power BI).
