Controller – Finance Operations Lead

About the role

Airis Labs is seeking a hands‑on Controller to own core financial operations across the group. You will drive month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, partner with auditors, and shape internal controls as the company scales its defense‑tech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly and annual close for the entire group.
• Lead interactions with external auditors, preparing work papers for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Prepare annual tax returns and statutory reports for global entities.
• Analyse financial data and business metrics to provide actionable insights.
• Design, document and implement internal controls that scale with growth.
• Lead finance‑supporting system implementations and tool integrations.
• Ensure US‑GAAP compliance, including adoption of new accounting standards.
• Build and execute reconciliation controls to maintain book accuracy.
• Oversee accounts payable workflows and billing processes, ensuring seamless system integration.
• Verify proper implementation of company policies (expenses, travel, procurement) and drive continuous process improvement.
• Participate in ad‑hoc strategic projects as the business evolves.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in high‑tech (SaaS preferred) finance roles.
• CPA qualification with Big 4 audit experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of US‑GAAP and hands‑on compliance experience.
• Advanced ERP proficiency; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Detail‑oriented analytical mindset and ability to deliver high‑quality work on time.
• Self‑starter with a bias for results and comfort in fast‑paced environments.
