Buyer

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for managing day‑to‑day procurement activities at the site level, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment and services to support production and business operations while meeting cost, quality, delivery and compliance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain material availability above target levels.
• Ensure supplier on‑time delivery (OTD).
• Reduce critical shortages and production disruptions.
• Manage purchase order processing cycle time.
• Optimize inventory and meet inventory targets.
• Achieve procurement compliance and contract utilization rates.
• Deliver local cost‑saving and cost‑avoidance initiatives.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience purchasing direct materials, electronic components, raw materials or industrial equipment (advantage).
• Experience working with international suppliers (advantage).
• Experience with ERP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle, Priority or similar).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Understanding of supply‑chain, inventory management and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret procurement reports and performance metrics.
