Business Development – Technical Initiatives

About the role

Crusoe is seeking a Business Development professional to act as the technical partner driving end‑to‑end deals at the intersection of datacenter construction, infrastructure finance, and AI compute demand. This role is not a conventional sales position; you will own complex, multi‑stakeholder opportunities that shape the company’s physical footprint and commercial trajectory.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate datacenter opportunities, including greenfield builds and colocation arrangements.
• Assess sites on power availability, utility interconnection timelines, cooling infrastructure, fiber access, and security.
• Own deal metrics such as all‑in cost per MW, construction schedules, and capacity optionality.
• Structure complex agreements with developers and partners, incorporating backstop mechanisms, capacity reservation frameworks, and construction‑phase financing.
• Build and maintain relationships with datacenter developers, colocation operators, financial partners, and government stakeholders.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with datacenter development and financing, including power procurement, shell construction, and critical systems fit‑out.
• Strong understanding of the full development lifecycle from site evaluation through energization.
• Financial structuring expertise comparable to investment banking or infrastructure‑focused private equity.
• Ability to navigate multi‑stakeholder environments and drive deals to closure.
