Backend Engineer

About the role

Gong is looking for a Backend Engineer to help build and maintain the services that power its AI‑driven Revenue Intelligence platform. You will join an experienced engineering team, work with Java in a micro‑services environment, and contribute to products that enable companies to understand and improve their customer interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java within a micro‑services architecture.
• Deliver well‑defined features from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, and production rollout.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reliable code following team standards and best practices.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve technical issues with guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to ensure high‑quality product experiences.
• Contribute to the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of backend systems.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience developing Java applications (advantageous).
• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and best practices.
