Assistant Controller – Finance

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its finance team in Caesarea. The role supports financial operations, compliance, forecasting and accounting across the organization, partnering with local and global stakeholders to ensure accuracy and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Finance SOX program, conduct annual assessments, document controls and support SOX 404 audit requirements.
• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, tax accruals, VAT reporting and statutory accounting.
• Oversee treasury activities, cash‑flow submissions, vendor payments and intercompany transactions, acting as liaison with Accounts Payable and Shared Services.
• Support financial audits, tax filings and regulatory reporting, ensuring timely submission of statutory reports.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and management reports; perform budget‑vs‑actual analysis and profitability reviews.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and decision‑support recommendations.
• Lead ad‑hoc accounting projects and process‑improvement initiatives, including cost accounting and inventory support.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Professional experience in financial reporting, SOX compliance or controllership.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SOX 404 compliance and internal controls.
• Experience with month‑end and quarter‑end close processes.
• Understanding of VAT, intercompany accounting and statutory reporting.
• Familiarity with treasury, cash‑flow management and vendor payments.
• Ability to prepare budgets, forecasts and perform variance analysis.
