Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its R&D team in Rehovot, Israel. You will work on cutting‑edge semiconductor and display equipment, applying AI and machine‑learning techniques to create high‑impact software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions for semiconductor equipment components.
• Define specifications and collaborate with internal and external customers to gather requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex software problems and perform testing and validation.
• Produce documentation, test procedures, and regular reports.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend/server‑side development experience.
• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented programming in Java or C#.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with large distributed system architecture and Agile/Scrum environments.
