Senior Rust Developer – Big Data Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Rust Developer to join an Israel‑based client building next‑generation Big Data infrastructure. You will work on performance‑critical components of a distributed system, collaborating with top engineers in a high‑autonomy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex, performance‑critical components from design to delivery.
• Optimize low‑level system code, including memory layout, I/O tuning, and concurrency.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to solve challenging technical problems.
• Contribute to building high‑performance, distributed infrastructure for Big Data workloads.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in systems programming.
• Proven ability to work independently with high standards.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Comfortable navigating hardware/software boundaries.

Required skills

• Expertise in Rust.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with low‑level system architecture, multi‑threading, and memory layout optimization.
• Knowledge of custom allocators and performance optimization techniques.
