Junior Hardware Engineer – Signal & Power Integrity

About the role

Join Cisco’s Silicon One Signal & Power Integrity (SIPI) team and contribute to the development of next‑generation networking ASICs. You will work on high‑speed analog and digital signal design for cutting‑edge network devices in a startup‑like environment within a global corporation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyze high‑speed analog/digital signals for ASICs, packages, and PCBs.
• Model, simulate, and characterize high‑speed I/Os, chip packages, printed circuit boards, and system interconnects.
• Develop detailed specifications for cross‑functional development teams.
• Address challenges of ultra‑high data rates using the latest silicon technologies.

Required profile

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from a leading Israeli university with an average grade above 85.
• Strong physics background.
• Motivated, ambitious individual who can quickly ramp on multiple interdisciplinary domains.
• Team player who enjoys tackling big technical challenges.

Required skills

• Experience with ASIC package design, including pin‑out optimization and stack‑up planning.
• Knowledge of silicon floor planning, signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) considerations.
• Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, TDR/VNA analyzers, and other high‑speed testing equipment.
• Understanding of high‑speed signal design and power distribution networks (PDN).
