Unibeam C++ Software Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a talented C++ Software Engineer to join the UniBeam Software team in Rehovot. You will design and implement performance‑critical software that powers the next generation of our high‑end processing platform, focusing on real‑time image processing and efficient data flows.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, design, and develop optimized C++ software for next‑generation processing products.
• Make technical decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and efficiency.
• Profile and optimize code to meet millisecond‑level latency requirements.
• Collaborate with system architects, other software groups, and stakeholders to deliver production‑ready solutions.
• Maintain modern CI pipelines, including git, unit testing, linting, and static analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional C++ development experience (C++11/17).
• Experience with hardware‑dependent software such as frame grabbers or dedicated boards.
• Strong ability to work with large, highly optimized code bases and advanced memory management.
• Proven technical leadership and effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
