Theoretical Physicist – Quantum Systems (Many-Body & Open Systems)

About the role

We are looking for a theoretical physicist to advance our understanding of many‑body and open quantum system dynamics in superconducting quantum computers. You will develop models that explain multi‑qubit behavior, noise, and emergent errors, directly influencing our hardware and calibration pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Model many‑body and open quantum system dynamics for multi‑qubit processors.
• Study thermalization, crosstalk, and non‑equilibrium effects in large‑scale quantum hardware.
• Develop reduced models that can be integrated into AI‑driven calibration systems.
• Identify scaling bottlenecks and emergent error mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with experimental teams to validate theoretical predictions.

Required profile

• PhD in theoretical physics or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in many‑body dynamics or open quantum systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical research skills.

Required skills

• Many‑body dynamics modeling
• Open quantum systems analysis
• Analytical problem solving
• Numerical simulation and modeling

What we offer

• Core technical role in a fast‑growing quantum‑hardware company.
• Direct access to state‑of‑the‑art superconducting quantum processors.
• High autonomy and ownership of technical direction.
• Collaboration with world‑class experimental, theoretical and AI teams across Israel and North America.
• Competitive compensation, long‑term equity participation and flexible work culture.
