Software Engineer III, Network Observability

About the role

Google Cloud is looking for a Software Engineer III to help build and improve network observability capabilities. You will work on large‑scale systems that enable customers worldwide to monitor, debug, and optimize their network performance.

Key responsibilities

• Write production‑grade code for product or system development.
• Participate in design reviews and help select appropriate technologies.
• Review peer code, enforce best practices, and ensure testability and efficiency.
• Maintain and enhance documentation and educational content.
• Tri­age, debug, and resolve product or system issues affecting hardware, network, or service quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies is a plus.

Required skills

• Software development in one or more programming languages.
• Data structures and algorithms.
• Debugging and issue triage.
• Understanding of network and service operations.
