SoC Test Engineer – Cloud Hardware

About the role

Join Google Cloud’s AI and Infrastructure team as a SoC Test Engineer. You will work on custom silicon solutions that power Google’s direct‑to‑consumer products, contributing to high‑performance computing hardware used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Architecture, Design and Verification teams to define bring‑up, validation, characterization and qualification strategies for new HPC products.
• Develop manufacturing test solutions and ATE test modules for advanced process technologies.
• Verify test solutions on pre‑silicon models (simulation or emulation) and support post‑silicon test generation.
• Analyze yield, test time and system‑to‑tester correlation to drive continuous improvement.
• Automate pre‑silicon verification and post‑silicon test‑program workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of test engineering experience, including pre‑silicon validation, test content generation, ATE program development and post‑silicon enablement from NPI to HVM.
• Experience with Python, Java, C# or C/C++ and Advantest or Teradyne ATE platforms.
• Familiarity with ASIC test methodologies such as mbist, atpg, DFT serdes and sensor testing.
• Preferred: Master’s/PhD, 10 years of test engineering, CPU/GPU SoC architecture expertise, advanced data‑analysis and automation skills.
