PhD Position in Neuro‑AI at Technion

About the role

The Technion Neuro‑AI Lab is seeking motivated PhD candidates to join its interdisciplinary research program on Neuro‑AI. You will investigate neural systems ranging from biological circuits to artificial neural networks, contributing to projects in computational neuroscience, machine learning, and brain‑computer interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement computational models of neural population dynamics.
• Develop and apply machine‑learning algorithms for representation learning and AI.
• Collaborate with experimental and clinical partners to integrate experimental data and BCI technologies.
• Publish research findings in high‑impact journals and present at international conferences.
• Participate in lab meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions.

Required profile

• Strong quantitative background (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Neuroscience, Biology).
• Experience with computational or theoretical neuroscience research.
• Ability to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
