Legal Counsel – Commercial & Privacy

About the role

Neema is building a global payments platform that enables real‑time, local‑feeling transactions across more than 150 countries. As a Legal Counsel focused on commercial and privacy matters, you will work closely with product teams and stakeholders to ensure that all legal aspects of the business are addressed, from contracts to data protection.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as service, vendor, partnership contracts, DPAs and NDAs.
• Manage the vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, risk classification, SLA implementation and periodic controls.
• Support Neema’s privacy framework, ensuring compliance with evolving Israeli and international data‑protection regulations and reviewing new products for privacy impact.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal counsel across the company, focusing on compliance, customer service and regulatory reporting.
• Handle legal aspects of fraud events, third‑party matters, official inquiries and formal correspondence.
• Develop and maintain the legal team’s knowledge base, including templates, playbooks and internal policies.

Required profile

• LLB and admission to the Israel Bar Association.
• Up to 2 years of post‑qualification experience with exposure to commercial and/or privacy work, either in‑house at a technology company or in a leading law firm.
• Strong drafting skills and experience with contracts involving vendors, customers or partners.
• Full professional fluency in Hebrew and English, with precise legal drafting in both languages.
• Business‑oriented mindset capable of translating legal risk into practical recommendations.
