Lead Systems Engineer - Point-of-Care Ultrasound

About the role

GE HealthCare is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer with a strong background in electronics and a solid understanding of electronic systems. The role drives point-of-care ultrasound systems engineering activities across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage system-level requirements and specifications throughout product development
• Drive system verification and validation activities, including end-to-end system testing
• Act as the primary interface between the Algorithm, Software and Verification & Validation (V&V) teams
• Drive product risk management in line with regulatory and quality standards
• Help resolve complex technical issues so project milestones and goals are met
• Work with Program Management on scheduling, technical risk mitigation and informed decision-making

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in medical device development and/or complex system development
• Master's degree in Systems Engineering is an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions
• Ability to document, plan and execute development programmes
• Demonstrated project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
