Lead Clinical Applications Engineer - Ultrasound

About the role

Within GE HealthCare's Point of Care Ultrasound business, this role contributes to the design and development of innovative ultrasound products and their interaction with the human body. It involves planning and executing tasks that affect departmental operations while staying within established functional practices and procedures. The position offers some autonomy but is mainly about delivering high-quality execution within an established operating discipline, with some judgment guiding other team members.

Key responsibilities

• Design and define clinical applications, including AI tools and clinical and workflow applications, based on user needs communicated by product managers, the clinical team, field feedback and physicians.
• Manage projects in collaboration with multifunctional teams: software, algorithms, systems, programs, mechanics, UX/UI designers, verification and the clinical team.
• Document product requirements, including design inputs and outputs.
• Review verification plans and procedures.
• Support external evaluation sites and regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in the medical device industry as an application or clinical application engineer.
• Knowledge and understanding of the ultrasound modality.
• Proactive leadership with strong mentoring skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, and to learn independently.
